Wow, it’s been a while! 2019 was quite eventful. February I traveled to Chicago, IL (for the second time) to watch my closest friend graduate with her Master’s Degree in Nursing. I treated her to dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant (my first time, too!) April I traveled to Asbury Park, NJ to see BUB and Sir Thomas Trueheart at Catsbury Park. I also swung by NYC, Centralia, PA and State College, PA. May I went to Fallingwater for Member’s Day, June I traveled to Los Angeles, CA (for the first time) for BUB’s 8th birthday party. I also visited Malibu, Los Feliz, Griffith Park and Huntington Beach while I was out there. In September I went to Fallingwater again and swung into Maryland just for fun (my hotel in Morgantown was no miles from Maryland.) Also in September, I went to Bloomington, IN to get a BUB tattoo for my 40th birthday and I got to spend time with BUB! In October I saw BUB in Rocky River, OH (15 minutes from home.) BUB passed away 1/Dec/19 and I’m still in shock.

In other news, I have a MacBook Air and will be replacing the keyboard early next week. While I know I’m fully capable of doing so, I don’t know if I have the patience. I’ve been in IT for 15 years, with my entire career involving hardware and software, so I have the skills. I also know my patience level or lack thereof, so I messaged a local shop to find out what they’ll charge me for the replacement. I ordered the top case for the MacBook for $24 in B+ condition, and it’s estimated to take around 2 hours from start to finish. Let’s see what they will charge!
